  • You must first Determine the Bass Note, by writing the bass notes to the song
  •  
     
    Figure out which Bass Notes are Target Notes and which are Passing. This particular chart works best for Dominant Chords
  •  
    Experiment with playing the chord in the chart INSTEAD of the bass note. If neither chords work in the chart, try changing a note or two within the chord
