How to develop precision with your runs

In my Live Trainings I have discussed three MAIN ways to develop precision. By using these techniques with your runs and scales you will begin to see a difference right away.

  • Chunk it Up - Group the notes together instead of seeing a line as one whole line
  • Slow it Down - Why are you playing so fast during your practice session. The point of practice is to work out errors slowly, not to impress yourself with speed
  • Feel It - You need to be so tuned in to your playing that you have a a intuitive sense of what you are doing, where you can improve, and what you need to correct

This is the process that I use to play back those fast runs that I hear in my transcriptions. Which is a difficult process to say the least.

See the Live Training for that Lesson.
