My personal transcription process

The Process

I wanted you to see INSIDE THE PROCESS of creating a MIDI file. You can also peek at what affects the time, cost, and also some of the challenges of creating the MIDI file. (Also see why it takes a while to transcribe your custom order. (2 weeks from the time I start on it). I am using Logic Pro X to do all of my transcriptions. Check out the strategy for transcribing Travis Sayles as a Custom Order below

How to gain from it

What good is doing a transcription or getting a MIDI file if you are not GAINING from it? When we talk about gains we mean, are you actually improving your playing? Are you able to consistently apply some of the things that you are hearing to your own playing--in context? If you struggle with this the video below shows how I would actually STUDY my transcription. It is pretty enlightening. Check it out below...

Glad to hear that, results are the biggest evidence that it works. Just putting it into practice and being consistent. Thanks for the comment

Hi sean, I am enjoying your skillset. I want to be like you with your playing. I can now play in all the keys but I am having trouble with learning the different scales and modes and playing on the scales. I also want to learn chording with both hands. I want to play like Cory Henry and be that good. I am looking to learn the music language and all of the secrets or the tricks, and the ins and outs. I think that I can learn a lot from your methods. I am looking forward to getting better.

that’s good… don’t rush the process. That is what it is. A process. You’ll get there so long as you are moving forward and in the right direction. Keep it up!
